A Day in the Life

The Digitalization Engineer will play a critical role in advancing our digital transformation roadmap through the implementation and optimization of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) strategy. This position is responsible for testing and optimizing system configurations, supporting the integration of new products and production lines, and contributing to the successful deployment of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) initiatives.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and Configure MES Workflows for Deployment on new areas.

  • Write and Execute UAT Test Scripts

  • Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to validate MES solutions meet business needs.

  • Adapt and configure MES to accommodate new products, equipment, and production processes.

  • Maintain and Optimize Existing MES Configurations

  • Work closely with production, quality, automation, and IT teams to align MES capabilities with operational goals

  • Attend CM sprint review meetings to evaluate and identify new MES features for site integration.

  • PowerBI Dashboard Develop

  • Analyze system data to uncover process inefficiencies and support Lean, Six Sigma, and OEE initiatives.

  • Assist in implementing OEE solutions and monitor performance trends to identify and act on improvement opportunities.

Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES): Hands-on experience in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing MES solutions.

Data & Analytics: Strong proficiency with Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake for building dashboards, reports, and advanced data models.

Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, including the ability to apply analytical and problem-solving techniques to drive process efficiency and quality improvements.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze system and process data, identify inefficiencies, and recommend actionable improvements.

Collaboration & Communication: Experience working cross-functionally with operations, quality, automation, and IT teams to deliver business-aligned solutions.

Required Knowledge and Experience: 
Requires a Baccalaureate degree

1 year of experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

Analytical skills for process improvements

Advanced knowledge of MES

Power BI

Python

Manufacturing experience

Lean/Six Sigma

ERP experience

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$68,000.00 - $102,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
