Position Overview
The Senior Director of Clinical Support and Best Practice will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing clinical support services within all of Canopy's Solutions. This role focuses on developing, researching, implementing, and maintaining best practices to enhance service delivery, improve child and family outcomes, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance clinical support services, focusing on mental health and child welfare
- Align clinical initiatives with the organization's mission, vision, and values, and work closely with the Solution teams and support departments to drive organizational goals.
- Design and implement evidence-based clinical practices and protocols tailored to mental health and child welfare.
- Regularly review and update clinical guidelines to reflect the latest research, regulatory changes, and best practices.
- Develop and deliver culturally competent training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of clinical staff in mental health and child welfare.
- Assist in developing ongoing measurement of clinical skills to ensure fidelity to established training programs.
- Foster a culture of professional growth and development, encouraging ongoing education and skill-building.
- Ensure that all clinical practices and services comply with relevant state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Lead key initiatives in the area of quality management by directing, overseeing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating a comprehensive program to improve clinical outcomes, enhance value, and minimize harm.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between clinical teams, case managers, social workers, and other stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between clinical services and external agencies or partners involved in mental health and/or child welfare.
- Analyze clinical performance data, including outcomes and client feedback, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership and/or Board meetings demonstrating the impact of clinical support initiatives and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Identify and implement innovative practices and tools to improve clinical support services and youth and families outcomes.
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the organization-wide Quality Management System for appropriate accounting of the quality services, performance improvement activities, and correction action.
- Annually update/revise the Quality Management System Plan.
- Collaborate with solutions leaders to design a system for developing, collecting, maintaining and reporting relevant and meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Analyze reports and data from other sources relating to KPIs to identify and interpret trends and variances as opportunities for improvements.
- Work with the Director of Measurement, Learning and Evaluation (MLE) and the Director of Innovation and Growth to support task forces and work groups related to performance improvement and innovation activities.
- Work with Director of Project Management Office (PMO) to track and monitor the timelines associated with performance improvement and innovation activities.
- Liaison with the Chair of the Professional Practice Committee (PPC) of the Board of Directors in coordination with Directors of MLE, PMO, Accreditation, and Compliance to facilitate PPC meetings and reports.
