About the Job
The Events & Engagements Manager is responsible for the alignment, planning, and oversight in implementing event & engagement plans within Sanofi’s global business units. Primary focus is overseeing operational activities related to services provided by Scientific External Experts (SEE) and Health Care Organizations (HCO) during the events under the scope of the Global Meetings & Events team (GM&E). They supervise Specialists and own the end-to-end process of all events within their scope, congresses and symposia, advisory board meetings, preceptorships, senior leadership meetings, standalone meetings, etc. They manage external suppliers and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, always ensuring consistent company representation and full compliance. They are responsible for developing templates, training & operational oversight with the purpose of maintaining & improving the end-to-end event & engagement process. This role reports to the Global Events & Engagements Lead.
This role is pivotal in orchestrating Sanofi's interactions with Scientific External Experts (SEEs), aligning with our "Take The Lead" strategy. The ideal candidate will:
Lead teams to manage SEE relationships, enhancing business value and consistency
Assess risks, make strategic decisions, and efficiently resolve issues
Serve as a key ambassador for Sanofi, showcasing excellent communication skills
Oversee operational activities, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
Demonstrate proven experience in engaging scientific experts and managing complex logistics

Main Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop a global team of Events & Engagements Specialists
Drive performance management, resource allocation, and budget oversight
Provide strategic direction and mentorship to team members across geographies
Strategic Operations
Spearhead process optimization and efficiency improvements
Establish project timelines, KPI/SLA monitoring, and quality controls
Oversee resource planning for SEE-related events and activities
Develop and manage yearly budget planning
Compliance & Risk Management
Serve as primary escalation point for complex SEE interactions
Ensure compliance with regulations and Fair Market Value requirements
Partner with Legal, Finance, and Ethics & Business Integrity teams on strategic initiatives
Maintain current knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
Business Partnership
Foster cross-functional collaboration with key business units & cross-functional teams
Champion best practice sharing and process standardization
Implement One Sanofi tools and identify operational synergies cross-GBU
Develop standardized documentation and reporting frameworks
This role strong leadership capabilities, and deep expertise in compliance and stakeholder management within the pharmaceutical industry.
About You
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
5 to 7 years of professional experience in event management & SEE engagement/contracting field, desirably in a highly regulated market.(Preferred)
Significant business experience in the healthcare industry.(Preferred)
Proven managerial skills, able to perform in a matrix organization.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
