Cleveland Clinic supports the growth, development and advancement of nurses through their career and as a Nursing Operations Manager, you will make a difference in the lives of both patients and caregivers at a leadership level. In this role, you will round on units to understand the current state regarding patient assignments as well as document pertinent information regarding staffing. It will be your goal to ensure safe staffing and that patients are being placed under the right scope of care.
A caregiver in this position works 3 12-hour nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM, including rotating weekends and holidays. The ability to cover day shifts from 7:00AM – 7:30PM is required, as needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Identify and ensure appropriate placement, facilitation and expedition of all patient flow transactions, including direct and emergency patient admissions and transfers, in accordance with established clinical standards and knowledge of disease entities.
Address significant patient issues and staffing needs throughout the house and make modifications to ensure equitable staffing arrangements throughout the hospital.
Communicate changes with relevant leaders.
Manage the patient experience trans-organizationally to optimize all resources to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Three years of experience in an acute care setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
