The Role:
As Field Service Manager, you will be responsible for the management of customer service requests as well as Service Technicians/Administrative staff. You will interact frequently with the sales teams and will aid in providing troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance services.
What A Day In The Life Is Like:
Technician Training:
- Develop field service technicians to ensure they possess the necessary technical skills and knowledge needed for the field.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate within the business.
Customer Interaction:
- Foster positive relationships with customers by ensuring that field service interactions are professional, courteous, and aligned with company values.
- Collaborate to address and resolve customer concerns promptly.
Coaching and Performance Management:
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to field service technicians, promoting continuous improvement in their technical skills, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear goals for individual and team development.
Operational Efficiency:
- Implement strategies to improve the overall efficiency of field service operations, including optimizing schedules, routes, and resource allocation.
- Work closely with other departments to streamline processes and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Proven experience in field service management, with a focus on technician training and customer interaction.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Three to five years prior management experience.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
