The streaming arm of TEGNA’s Central Content Team is searching for a teammate like you! We need a skilled journalist with TV or streaming producing experience and strong communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced team environment.

You need to be based in Atlanta, Washington D.C. or Cleveland.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Partner with journalists and creators to build news shows for TEGNA’s streaming apps
• Produce live stream experiences in partnership with TEGNA stations, including breaking news and weather productions
• Write scripts for pre-produced shows and live streams
• Partner with video editors, on-air reporters and other producers
• Communicate with journalists at the stations
• Strategize and execute multi-platform content plans for major events and projects
• Perform basic video and script editing tasks
• Maintain a deep understanding of current events and news
• Leverage strong news judgement and storytelling skills to source and verify information
• Ensure content meets standards of journalistic ethics, integrity and inclusive journalism

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience as a news producer
• Strong news writing and communication skills
• Excellent collaboration, and organizational skills
• A passion for storytelling and the ability to translate complex information for a broad audience.
• Previous experience with live streaming software (VMix or similar) a plus
• Basic image and video editing skills strongly preferred
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours, including weekend shifts
