Ford Brake and Front End Technician Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair brake systems, including pads, rotors, calipers, and hydraulics
Perform front‑end and suspension repairs such as shocks, struts, ball joints, tie rods, and control arms
Conduct alignments and diagnose steering and drivability concerns
Accurately document inspections, findings, and completed repairs
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining Ford and dealership quality standards
Communicate repair needs clearly with service advisors
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all manufacturer specifications, dealership procedures, and safety guidelines
Ford Brake and Front End Technician Compensation & Benefits
This Mid‑Level Line Technician position is paid on a pay scale that may include one or more of the following elements:
Hourly pay, which varies based on experience, certifications, and performance
Production‑based incentive compensation, which may be tied to individual and/or team productivity benchmarks
Retention‑based incentive compensation, which may be earned based on hours produced
Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as hours worked, productivity, performance metrics, and overall business conditions. Incentive and bonus compensation are not guaranteed and may be zero if applicable performance standards are not met.

Ford Brake and Front End Technician Qualifications
Prior experience as a brake and/or front end technician required
Ford dealership experience preferred
ASE certifications in Brakes and Suspension/Steering a plus
Strong diagnostic and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable, detail‑oriented, and quality‑driven
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
