Recast Software’s headquarters are in Minneapolis, MN with offices in Utrecht, Netherlands and Jyväskylä, Finland. This role is based in the Netherlands and is expected to work from the office in Utrecht once every 2 weeks.
About the Role:We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to our Applications Workspace and Setup Store products. This person will bring front end expertise and primarily focus on 4 UIs. Work will range from maintenance, updating legacy code to modern frameworks, and greenfield projects. The ideal candidate will also have experience with some backend, ideally .Net development, and have a willingness to contribute to full-stack work on the team as needed.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Develop & maintain the Recast Application Workspace & Setup Store user interfaces.
• Perform maintenance tasks on the Citrix Storefront integration scripts & SharePoint Webparts.
• Work with the Application Workspace team to strengthen the market-leading position of our application delivery product.
• Enhance the overall capabilities of our End-to-End Application Management for Modern Hybrid Environments.  
• Active member of the Application Workspace scrum team responsible for application code, test code, and overall effectiveness of software. 
• Support the entire SDLC – from listening to customers, to designing, developing, and maintaining applications, to assisting support and managing the production environment. 
• Learn and/ or advocate for engineering best practices. 

Required Skills:

• 5+ years experience in React (Vite & MUI knowledge preferred).
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.   
• Secondary experience in the Microsoft tech stack: C#, .NET Core, etc. or a willingness to learn and contribute to some backend development as needed. Additional technologies preferred. 

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience with developing for Windows, macOS and Linux. 
• Experience with jQuery & Telerik Kendo UI for jQuery.
• Experience with REST APIs (OData v4). 
• Experience with systems administration (Windows/macOS). 
• Experience contributing to the development of highly scalable SaaS solutions. 
• Fundamental understanding of building cloud-based solutions (Azure).  
• Database knowledge of MS SQL Server and SQL scripting. 
• Experience with developing on-premise software.
