The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Enrollment in the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning, the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for implementing the college’s undergraduate recruitment and admissions processes. The Assistant Director executes recruitment initiatives for AAP graduate admissions with the ultimate goal of enrolling high-quality students and achieving enrollment goals in alignment with university and college policies, priorities, and timelines. This includes carrying out a dynamic recruitment program for undergraduate students; representing undergraduate programs to wide internal and external audiences; managing selection processes; enhancing the operations and technologies for AAP undergraduate admissions; and providing and analyzing undergraduate admissions data in consultation with the Sr. Director of Enrollment for the college.
The Assistant Director is a key member of the AAP Enrollment team who works in close partnership with other team members, AAP Student Services, and academic departments to achieve unit goals and advance college and program priorities. The Assistant Director communicates and collaborates with various departments on campus, including but not limited to the Undergraduate Admissions Office and Financial Aid.

The College of Architecture, Art, and Planning at Cornell University (Cornell AAP) is home to nearly 1000 students, 120 faculty, and 65 staff members who come together from around the world to take up some of today's most urgent challenges and advance research, inquiry, and approaches to designing, making, and doing that build a more just and sustainable future.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent organizational, planning, time management, interpersonal, and oral and written skills.
- Must be able to handle high volumes of work during peak periods accurately and in a professional manner, paying close attention to detail and meeting time sensitive deadlines.
- Exhibits initiative and follow-through on work issues and activities.
- The successful applicant will be comfortable with technology and information systems, possess a strong commitment to excellent customer service, be able to multi-task and perform a variety of job responsibilities in a complex and deadline-driven environment, and naturally seek to improve and streamline processes.
- Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
- Ability to work evenings for information sessions and orientation meetings.
- Proficiency with computers for word processing, database management, presentation preparation, and electronic communication. Aptitude to learn PeopleSoft, Salesforce, FileMake
