Reporting to the Senior Design Services Manager, the Designer is a billable, full time, exempt position, and is responsible for the design and development of effective visual presentations in partnership with IMS Trial Consultants.

The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, creative, analytical, efficient, and have strong communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.

  • This position is 100% remote that supports east to west coast time zones.
  • Remote position is for the following states: AL, CT, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, MD, MN, MS, MO, NV, NJ, NM, NC, OH, PA, TN, TX, SC, UT, VA,


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    

Ensure Design Quality and Excellence


Create graphics and text exhibits for complex projects that convey key case themes and reflect IMS’s position as the premiere national trial communications firm.


Create designs that illustrate concepts and communicate information in a compelling way by:

  • Interpreting data and translating it in a visually appealing solution
  • Constructing illustrations that adhere to graphic styles
  • Preparing documents for slide presentation
  • Cropping documents and formatting text for legible display

Case responsibilities

  • Act as Creative Lead (CL) on small to large cases
  • Partner with Trial Consultants on case direction and design needs
  • Contribute to conceptual and creative case development
  • Create and manage PPT templates 
  • Create and manage case artwork library
  • Draft creative briefs 
  • Participate in key internal team meetings
  • Direct design styles and aesthetics, and provides design direction to other designers working on the case


Quality control (QC)

  •  Consistently create high-quality work
  •  Adhere to IMS QC guidelines to ensure quality and accuracy of work product
  •  Critique work and provide constructive feedback
  •  Participate in design reviews


External client interaction

  •   Attend client meetings in conjunction with other team members, as needed
  •    Interact independently with clients in war room settings, as needed 
  •    25% travel requirement for onsite graphics support


Communication and Department Contributions

  • Assist Senior level staff with content development for thought leadership pieces
  • Actively participate in department and company councils, activities, and committees
  • Assist in proposal/pitch content development, as needed
  • Lead aspects of small to large projects, such as the Trial Graphics art library
  • Contribute to discussions regarding best practices and process changes
Requirements

 Required Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

  • Advanced understanding of software (PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite) related to discipline or area of focus
  • Ability to create designs that balance message clarity, stylistic consistency, and artistic judgment
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency, thoroughness, and quality towards tasks/goals
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, follow-through, and the ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem solve creatively, effectively, and efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills
  • Ability to independently manage time when performing ongoing projects and daily work expectations, often under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, set priorities, and adapt quickly to new tasks
  • Ability to provide clear direction and willingness to share and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to demonstrate openness to assume additional responsibilities and pitch in wherever needed
  • Ability to work late nights/weekends
  • Ability to travel on short notice


Education & Technical Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant design exper
