Summary of Job Duties:

**SHIFT IS 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM**

The Medical Assistant (MA) in the Behavioral Health Service Line Center for Addiction Services & Treatment (CAST) Clinic provides direct patient care to assigned patients. The MA works under the direct supervision of the clinic manager by assisting in the examination and treatment of patients.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or formal education equivalent
• Completion of Medical Assistant training program
• Current BLS
• Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethic and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an ambulatory care setting
• 1 or more years of MA experience

• The MA prepares treatment rooms for examinations, assists with medical procedures and examinations, conducts patient interviews, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and phlebotomy.
