Job Overview

The Executive Director for CSUSM at Chula Vista is responsible for vision, leadership, and support for all academic programs offered by CSUSM in Chula Vista. The Executive Director is responsible for assessing the educational needs of Chula Vista and greater south bay community, understanding deeply the educational goals of students at Southwestern College and communicating these needs to CSUSM leadership. The Executive Director will initiate and shepherd partnerships between CSUSM and Southwestern College, Sweetwater Union High School District, and other educational institutions in the region. The Executive Director ensures the quality and integrity of all aspects of the programming and operations for CSUSM in Chula Vista. The Executive Director also serves as the point person in Chula Vista for community relations and CSUSM's collaborative relationships with partner educational institutions. The Executive directs and evaluates the work of the student advisor for Chula Vista and the office support staff.

This is a full-time, exempt position in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP). MPP positions serve at the pleasure of the President.

Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $10,834 - $11,667 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,053 - $16,221 per month

Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
