A Day in the Life
.Reporting directly to the VP Finance, Global Commercial Office, the Finance Consultant will provide finance leadership and analytical support to drive the growth, efficiencies, and financial performance of the Tail Account and Channel Innovation commercial teams. This position will provide critical financial insights to inform strategic decisions, financial forecasts, operating plans, and strategic transformation initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Tail commercial segment in driving revenue growth, designing quotas, analyzing performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), managing expenses, forecasting, and build and manage progress vs business cases. You will be the primary business partner for the VP U.S. Tail Accounts and Channel. Additionally, you will work closely with other commercial and finance stakeholders responsible for the financial planning and analysis, enterprise segment expansion initiatives, operating budgets, and strategic planning.
A significant focus is placed on delivering exceptional actionable insights to our business partners and customers with a mindset of the team win before individual win. You will also contribute to and represent the department through specific project completions as outlined in annual objectives.

Responsibilities
• Drive Growth
o Be a trusted advisor for the Tail Account and Channel Innovation leadership team to grow revenue and achieve key financial objectives while effectively managing risks and opportunities
o Develop and maintain a mastery of the business to support key operational and strategic decisions by leveraging industry insights and generating scenario analysis
o Partner with Data and Analytics teams to provide insights on account trends and opportunities, rep performance, strategy execution and other meaningful metrics to optimize performance
o Lead the annual operating plan (AOP), forecasting and strategic plan processes
• Financial Management and Reporting
o Lead and prepare monthly business reviews of P&L results with variance analysis, forecast and risk and opportunities
o Provide actionable guidance to business partners to drive alignment to financial goals
o Ensure forecast accuracy and drive accountability with leaders
o Manage Sales Incentive Plan submissions to Comp Administration
o Perform and analyze financial modeling, market research, and trends
o Manage account alignments
• Engage in special projects and ad hoc tasks as required.
This role is in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our first preference is for candidates in this area, though we will also consider remote applicants within the United States. If you are based in Minnesota, you must be able to meet the requirements of working onsite.
Must Have:
• Broad finance background that includes: financial planning and analysis, commercial/sales finance support, budgeting, financial modeling and sound business acumen
• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance required, qualified with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience, or advance degree with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience. MBA preferred

• Strong analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills with proven ability to multitask in a high paced environment
• Experience in a commercial finance role
• CPA, CMA, and/or MBA
• Medical device, healthcare or pharma industry experience
• Excellent written/oral communication, presentation and influence skills
• Extensive knowledge of SAP, GSR, Tableau, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and a commitment to keeping computer skills current
• Reliable work ethic and flexibility during peak times
