Job Description

Our Finance Velocity Office was designed to accelerate our path to building a world-class finance function. This function is shaping our transformation strategy, improving our business operations and enhancing the impact we make as a function. Why velocity?   • Build a foundation that supports the growth and complexity of our business and improves the day-to-day interactions of our Finance teams.

  • Modernize our processes to enable better, faster decision making and drive more timely insights for our clients and business partners.

  • Implement technology to evolve how we work together to achieve meaningful, sustainable change and enable our long-term growth agenda.

  • Ensure a clear and measurable set of KPIs against our Finance OKRs and Scorecard to track, report and recognize key milestones and impact statements for our work product.

As a Consultant you will serve as a strategic partner to the Finance Velocity Office Program. This role requires interpersonal skills to influence and cultivate partnerships across functions, regions, and teams, to drive thought leadership, and successfully enact detailed financial analysis, business case development, and performance tracking. This role will leverage detailed analysis to generate insights, make recommendations and be expected to develop effectively communicate through various mediums (e.g., presentations) to program leaders and executives. The ideal candidate has a background in finance transformation and/or financial analysis, preferably with a public company, management consulting firm and has proven results collaborating with team members and supported functions.

Essential Functions:

Problem solving and analysis

  • Lead analyses to drive decision-making on critical strategic topics. Proactively identify issues and provide recommendations on solutions, leveraging input from cross-functional teams
  • Perform business process mapping/flowcharting when evaluating end to end financial processes.
  • Build near and long-term views for growth that align with business strategy and data.

Project management

  • Manage project workstreams within broader initiatives.
  • Create project deliverables to cement the results of the project in various mediums
  • Support business case development for key initiatives, ad hoc requests, and special projects.
  • Establish efficient processes for quarterly and monthly performance reporting
  • Utilize project management methodologies and tools to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Stakeholder engagement and communications

  • Establish and maintain relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (i.e., executives and staff) in the business and serve as a key point of contact for issues
  • Drive change management initiatives to ensure initiatives are seamlessly rolled o
  • Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities, and issues of the business.
  • Design and deliver compelling presentations to effectively illustrate findings, ideas and recommendations to support decision-making processes, tailored to various audiences including CEO, CFO, Finance Leadership Team and Executive Committee and Broader Finance.

Implementation support

  • Identify and implement changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational decision making.
  • Enable management by providing timely, accurate information
  • Understand business drivers and recommend measures to further improve results

This is a hybrid position based in San Francisco, CA. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications:

least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA,
