Job Description

The Sr. Product Manager, US Consumer Debit Product and Growth Initiatives, is responsible for product performance management and supporting key strategic initiatives for US Consumer Debit.

The Sr. Product Manager, US Consumer Debit and Growth Initiatives, will support initiatives critical to U.S. payment growth, including managing projects to enhance debit product performance and competitiveness, and driving analytics and insights to optimize performance. The role will develop deep debit expertise, working with cross-functional teams, including sales, acceptance policy, client services, interchange and pricing to craft solutions and resolve issues. The Product Manager, US Consumer Debit and Growth Initiatives, will drive performance reporting, analysis, process improvements, implementation support, and collateral development. This high performer will support a team that is responsible for engaging with various stakeholders across the payments industry, including interactions with merchants, issuers, regulators, and enablers.

Visa’s products annually drive a large amount of payment volume and generate significant net revenue for Visa. Our issuing partners utilize these products to serve the needs of hundreds of millions of cardholders, ensuring that consumers can access their funds at millions of face-to-face and online merchants that accept Visa.

This is a critical position reporting to the Senior Director of Debit Product Management and Growth Initiatives. The role requires considerable cross-functional collaboration, superb project and client management skills, ability to operate proactively in a highly ambiguous environment, and flexibility to respond to events in a complex and evolving industry. We’re looking for a creative problem solver who can craft compelling stories with actionable, data-driven insights to inform critical business decisions for one of Visa’s largest products.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience
with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience
with a PhD
• 4+ years’ experience in a product, financial services, or professional services (e.g., consulting,
investment banking) role
• Excellent project management skills and experience exercising informal authority in a large cross-
functional team environment
• Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) acumen and attention to detail
• Curious and inquisitive, with a strong desire to get beyond the 'what' and into the 'why'
• Proactive and effective communicator, experienced in presenting information to all levels
• Self-starter who is comfortable in highly ambiguous environments
• Collaborative spirit and a knack for understanding stakeholder needs

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
