Personal Lines Account Manager

Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to join their growing team in Grand Rapids, MI!

What You'll Do:

Responsible for providing continuous service to all personal lines new and existing clients and assisting the producer in retention of business, as well as seeking growth opportunities within book of business.  Through servicing, develop a thorough knowledge of the accounts, becoming liaison between the insured, the producer, or other departments within the agency and the carriers.

• Writing all new business policies

• Maintain and service all renewal policies.

• Assist insureds with their service needs (ie changes, cancellations, etc)

• Identify competitive carriers for possible remarketing of existing business to help retain accounts.

• Ensure all quotes are accurate prior to being proposed.

• Responsible for documentation control (scanned, paper, electronic, verbal, etc)

• Knowledge of Quality Control Compliance standards for department

What You'll Need:

Required:

• High School diploma or GED

• Proficient with MS Office Suite

• Knowledge of agency management systems

• Exceptional telephone demeanor and strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

• Property & Casualty License or ability to obtain within six months​​.

• 1-2 years’ experience in similar position.

Preferred:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline.

• Insurance Designation (ie RHU, CISR, CIC, ARM).
