M365 Power Platform Senior Dev Ops Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the adoption and innovation of the M365 Power Platform (Power Apps & Power Automate) across our organization.
In this senior position, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of Power Platform projects, from fostering user adoption to technical implementation and ongoing support. You will wear multiple hats, acting as a technical consultant, trainer, and project manager, all while ensuring we maximize the value of our M365 portfolio.
• Champion the adoption of the Power Platform across the organization, fostering a culture of innovation and self-service.
• Facilitate and lead the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) or Community of Practice (CoP).
• Collaborate with internal business units to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for the development team.
• Possess a strong understanding of the Power Platform to effectively communicate requirements and technical solutions.
• Participate in the development of Power Platform solutions, providing technical expertise and guidance.
• Act as a trusted advisor and consultant for Power Platform initiatives across the organization.
• Develop and deliver training programs to increase user knowledge and proficiency in M365 tools, particularly the Power Platform.
• Manage Power Platform projects with a focus on efficient delivery and successful implementation.
Qualifications
• Proven expertise in the M365 Power Platform (Power Apps & Power Automate).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in facilitating and leading technical communities.
• Solid understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and deployment strategies.
• A passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the Power Platform.
• Experience with project management principles and methodologies (Agile preferred).
• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies (CI/CD pipelines) is a plus.
• Experience in conducting technical training sessions is a plus.
Job Overview
This position is responsible for managing, monitoring and deploying a highly available, highly scalable production application. The individual will be responsible for one or more environments and/or systems and interface directly with the Development and Operations team on a daily basis for the maintenance, expansion, and documentation of these environments, providing assistance and review of proposed architectures, as needed. This role is responsible for vetting emerging technologies and guides the direction of the teams that support software development.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Drives the automation and continuous improvement of the software delivery process
- Manages the continuous integration services maintenance and configuration, ensuring the build environment is meeting the needs of the software developers
- Leads the maintenance and creation of automatic deployment of software builds to the test and production environments, enabling the operations team to easily and consistently deploy new software products
- Monitors system development and maintenance and ensures that staff at all technical levels are informed of the health of our systems
- Evaluates Operation teams processes and automates repetitive and temporary solutions
- Improves the product environment and practices used by the software developers
- Sets up back-up mechanisms for production environments and test disaster recovery mechanisms
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
