Description
Stakkd Companies focuses on the development of Self-Storage Facilities, Industrial ARSR Cold Storage, and Ambient Storage Warehouses (Stakkd Storage) that is supported by a vertically integrated manufacturing operation that designs, manufactures and installs palletized and mini-load rack systems (Stakkd Rack). Our corporate headquarters is Indianapolis, Indiana and our manufacturing facility is in Franklin, Indiana. Stakkd is seeking an entrepreneurial and ambitious Finance Associate to support and drive the development of our platform as we grow and expand our vertically integrated divisions:
- Racking and material handling automation
- Industrial (cold and conventional) and self-storage real estate development
- Cold storage logistics.
This ground-floor opportunity allows you to play a pivotal role in shaping Stakkd’s growth trajectory, backed by a robust platform offering access to diverse markets, a strong capital markets team, and corporate infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, critical thinker, and keen analyst with experience in underwriting and analyzing real estate developments and/or acquisitions of operating companies. You will gain hands-on exposure to innovative technologies, real estate development, cold storage logistics, and racking system manufacturing.
Essential Position Functions
- Investment analysis and financial modeling. Develop and maintain detailed financial models and projections to evaluate real estate developments, new business lines, and add-on acquisitions.
- Collaborate with the CEO to identify JV partners, add-on acquisition opportunities, and deal structures.
- Alongside CEO, build, manage and work with strategic partnerships and joint ventures with real estate development and operating partners.
- Research, identify, and analyze potential investment opportunities in material handling automation, racking, cold storage and industrial and self-storage real estate development.
- Research and analysis of markets and trends in material handling automation and cold storage.
- Assist in the creation and update of comprehensive project finance packages.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally specializing in business, real estate, finance, engineering or urban planning is required (advanced degree preferred).
- Previous work experience in private equity, real estate development, or investment ideally with a focus on material handling, racking, cold storage or industrial real estate.
- Familiarity with racking, warehouse automation, cold storage, warehouse and industrial trends a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in valuation methodologies and financial analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must be an analytical, creative problem solver and critical thinker.
- Must have a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills.
