About the role

In a nutshell

We’re scaling fast and need a Finance Business Analyst who loves turning messy processes into elegant, automated flows. You’ll join a small team of mid‑level pros that partners with every corner of Picnic to tighten controls, protect margin, and unlock data‑driven insights. From building controls on our Emballage flows to Workday Core Finance Hub roll‑out, you’ll own high‑value workstreams on our annual Finance roadmap and push them over the finish line.

Tricks of the trade

  • Own change: Scope, plan, and deliver initiatives on the Finance Innovation roadmap.
  • Design & build: Create internal controls, new accounting flows, dashboards, and digital playbooks that actually get adopted.
  • Data analysis: Understand data models to identify trends and root causes in our financial reporting.
  • Periodic reporting: Strengthen balance‑sheet and P&L close accuracy with smart, reusable controls.
  • Cross‑functional glue: Work with buyers, supply‑chain, tech, and Finance Ops to embed improvements end‑to‑end.
  • Support ad-hoc requests: Be a team player and assist with ad-hoc requests as needed.

Examples of projects could include Emballage flow control, inventory & receipts redesign, digitalization accelerators, etc. The roadmap is bold; that's why creativity, persistence, and a love for improvements is the secret sauce.

Your superpowers

  • MSc degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field
  • 3 - 6 years of experience in Finance transformation - audit, internal controls, ERP, or BI. Big 4 Senior Associate or equivalent in‑house role.
  • ERP/Workday curiosity - you enjoy mapping processes and tweaking config to eliminate manual work.
  • Out‑of‑the‑box thinker - you question “how we’ve always done it” and prototype better ways fast.
  • You have a natural pragmatic mindset, without compromising on quality, structure or efficiency.
  • Data‑finance hybrid - comfortable in SQL/Power BI/Python or are willing to learn coding.
  • ERP-system knowledge is a plus!
  • Fluency in English (Dutch, French, or German is a plus!)
