Job Description Qualifications:

Position Overview:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking Entry Level Manufacturing Engineers to join their Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers team in Kent, WA. This Manufacturing Engineer would have responsibilities for internal electronic product builds for KC-46, VC-25 Proprietary and IRAD.  Additionally, this Manufacturing Engineer will work through field repairs that come in from existing fleet aircraft.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.

  • Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support the integration of technical solutions across multiple disciplines.

  • Supports the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.

  • Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Investigates technical problems.

  • Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.

  • Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

  • Supports planning creation and work order maintenance for production and sustaining as needed.

  • Initiates/track procurement of shop consumable materials used for production and repairs.

  • Participates in design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews and help develop manufacturing methods.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prior manufacturing experience

  • Familiar with interpreting engineering drawings

  • Experience with complex electronic assemblies

Typical Education/Experience:

Entry-Level (Level 1): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range Entry-Level (Level 1) $68,000 - $92,000. Summary pay range Associate (Level 2): $80,750 - $109,250
