About the role

We are looking for Construction Project Manager who will be responsible for supporting the Marsta facility with designing, managing and executing the engineering requirements of a Capital Project to construct a new Laboratory block. The person will work under the direction of the Business Unit, Regional Project Manager (RPM) and One Sweden manager; working closely with various manufacturing, distribution site personnel or external resources to execute the project. This resource will collaborate with other engineering resources in the region.

The primary responsibility for this role is to be the Sherwin Williams Project Management representative in the successful delivery of a new Laboratory facility on the Marsta site. Designated responsibilities will include:

  1. Capital plan development and delivery of specified projects at the Marsta site. This will include the requirement for daily management of contractors at site during construction phase of projects.
  2. Manage designated contract companies in the execution of projects under EPC approach as Sherwin Williams representative.
  • Assist designated sites with definition and development of project estimate, schedule and specifications
  • Manage designated contract companies in the execution of projects under EPC approach as Sherwin Williams representative
  • Along with RPM, assist the site team with project feasibility and constructability assessments
  • Project member (Subject Matter Expert) - Voice of design for civil, structural, piping, insulation, painting, etc.
  • Develop standards & guidelines for equipment datasheets / specification to legislative and SW requirements
  • Manage projects throughout full life cycle through all phases, from development to delivery handover to production
  • Track progress, forecast and manage changes scope change & budget changes for project
  • Creates project progress reports for site as per reporting frequency
  • Assist the sites with prioritization and execution of the project phase activities
  • Assist with budgeting process for capital and special spending sections
  • Works with contractors or external resources to identify new technologies that can improve the current state of the facilities
  • Assess and optimize the time and resources required to complete the various stages of the project in order to establish a comprehensive plan for implementation.
  • Predict and mitigate the risks that may occur during the implementation.
  • Prepare documentation and submit investment application
  • Structure the project (methods, piloting tools, etc.) and define the rules of operation allowing the work to be carried out optimally for time, safety, quality and cost.
  • Ensure coordination between the stakeholders involved in the project (in the company, the various services, external, suppliers or subcontractors).
  • Define with project staff the objectives and deadlines for completing the various tasks (task ordering, forecast schedule).
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Equivalent in European professional academic qualification)
  • Organized, excellent communication skills, goal oriented. Understanding of full capital project life cycle process
  • Project Management skills
  • AutoCad or Solidworks experience
  • ATEX/DSEAR knowledge/experience would be an advantage
