Job Description

Health & Safety specialist - systems & governance

The Health, Safety and Security (HSS) team in Statkraft’s Project Delivery Unit (PDU) is responsible for HSS management during all phases of project execution. This team is also supporting and following-up Statkraft offices and operations in Europe.

We are growing our business and need to strengthen our work to integrate learning into- and improving our H&S systems and governance, such as process’ in the Project Model, our standards and input to Statkraft global H&S governance. The position will have interface to Corporate H&S unit, Technical Management in projects, the Project Model team and our regional teams in Europe.

The position reports to VP HSS, located at the corporate headquarters in Oslo. Domestic and international travels will be required.

Your role:

You will have the role as specialist on H&S systems and governance in the Project Delivery Unit HSS team.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive systematic change and development together with the HSS team, Technical Management and the Project Model team (PMO):
    • Ensure regular reviews and implementation of systematic learning in our tools, methods and ways of working
    • Lead the constant update of H&S in the project model
    • Develop necessary training programs to support H&S in the project model
    • Be the HSS representative in the “verification process” developed in Sceptre
  • Manage the HSS units communication plan to reach out to all parties re. updates and training
  • You will be involved in H&S work by corporate on governance, standards, training etc.
  • Assist in H&S training and coaching to our regional H&S resources and campaigns roll-out
  • Participate in investigation and assurance activities
  • Be the HSS team editor on PDU- and BAE home-page
  • Structure and organise the HSS team’s work plan and action plans (in Teams)
  • Facilitate the result assurance process and meetings for the HSS team

Qualifications

Your profile:

  • University degree in engineering or equivalent
  • More than 10 years’ experience within H&S, e.g. governance, compliance, quality work, system development, training …
  • Good knowledge of Norwegian/EU health and safety legislation 
  • Structured
  • Result oriented
  • A team player, who can work independently
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Additional language skills such as German is an advantage
