Associate Software Development Engineer

ARETUM, a dynamic and growing government contracting company, is seeking an Associate Software Development Engineer to join our team. As an Associate Software Development Engineer at ARETUM, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and gain hands-on experience in software development for our federal clients.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Full-Stack Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. 
• Code and design working solutions and troubleshoot system issues. 
• Analysis, design, build and implementation of end-to-end solution delivery. 
• Experienced PHP, JavaScript and CSS developer who understands application design, development, testing, deployment, and operations in WordPress environment. 
• Ability and experience in creating applications from scratch and provide support to the existing systems as needed. 
• Proven experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining large multi-tiered applications preferably in the federal government setting.
• Ensure UI meets Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Success Criteria at AA level.  

Requirements

• 3-10 Years of experience in Software Development (PHP and WordPress required)  
• 3+ Years of experience using web-based technologies (PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3)  
• Ability to work with limited guidance in a remote team environment.  
• Must have PHP, WordPress, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 development expertise.   
• Good understanding of Section 508/WCAG 2.X compliance requirements 
• Security+ certification  
• Secret Clearance
