Overview

The B2B Specialist supports Tech Sourcing Operations in complex issues in purchasing processes, tools and systems in Tech Sourcing Operations in order to secure the day-to-day business. This role must understand business changes, improvements and enhancements especially with regards to purchasing processes, tools and systems in Tech Sourcing Operations with the help of change programs.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
• Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values.
• Understand business changes in Tech Sourcing Operations
• Identify process improvements and advise in EDI integration.
• Evaluate and interpret internal as well as external customer or manufacturer inquiries regarding changes on feasibility, potential for improvement and effort.
• Plan, coordinate and implement necessary steps for realization of change projects.
• Plan and execute test scenarios.
• Support Tech Sourcing Operations
• Support of daily business with complex inquiries about purchasing processes, tools and systems.
• Cooperation within the team, other areas and at group level
• Ensure representation and support of other team members.
• Ensure know-how transfer within the team.
• Term-internal communication and coordination.
• Continuous development of product knowledge and Computacenter internal End-to-End processes.

 

Education & Experience Required

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience

 

Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge and experience of SAP (especially configurator), MS Office and MS Teams.
• Very good understanding of Computacenter Purchasing systems, including:
• Purchasing lifecycle
• Sales system to create Sales Orders
• Computacenter SAP Purchase Orders
• Ability to understand the main parts of a technical B2B connection, but not in great detail.
• Knowing the general security requirements of Computacenter standard solution.
• Need to gain very good knowledge of our standard cXML solution.
• Need to be able to follow the steps start to finish that our B2B messages take: IDOCs, cXML messages, technical response, inbound IDOCs and their processing into relevant system actions.
• Ability to initiate and drive a project forward, coordinating all relevant parties on their actions.
• Ability to take and combine data from multiple sources to find issues and draw conclusions.
• Has experience of Business Testing or able to learn quickly.
• At least three-year commercial training or comparable qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in similar position.
• Good knowledge of EDI message types and standards.
• Good knowledge of commercial business processes (sales & purchasing) from quotation to sales and invoicing to the customer.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.
• Good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language.
• Good self-organization and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
• Can build trust, be assertive when required and shows initiative and enthusiasm.
