Ticketmaster’s Identity org is focused on solutions to identify and prioritize real fans over bots and scalpers. Our registration solution is used by some of the biggest artists in the industry, our technology spans numerous application components and machine learning models, and we incorporate Ticketmaster's massive data set of fan preferences and activity. Engineers on Identity work on custom UI components, efficient microservices, and server less architecture to drive various solutions core to getting tickets into the hands of real fans. We optimize data pipelines to capture market demand signals, and we operate our products at scale.
THE JOB:
In the role of Engineer II, you will participate in the implementation of application components and services. You will contribute code throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle - from initial design, to testing, to automation, to deployment. You will work alongside a team of software engineers on both frontend and backend code, and will collaborate with product managers to realize new features and functionality for the platform. You will engage in code reviews, setup monitoring and observability tools, and assist with operations when necessary.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
▪ Contribute to the development and implementation of scalable software systems
▪ Participate in the architecture and engineering design of applications and services
▪ Write high quality Javascript and Node.js server components
▪ Write UI Components in React and Redux
▪ Orchestrate AWS services and compute resources to process data efficiently
▪ Participate in DevOps and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
▪ Setup monitoring and alerting to provide observability across components
▪ Ensure high quality through automated tests
▪ Work with other engineers to develop and document requirements and functional specifications
▪ Interact with Product/UX to develop features according to business requirements
▪ Build CI/ CD pipelines
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)
▪ Professional software engineering experience
▪ Ability to implement Javascript UI components using React
▪ Experience designing and implementing highly-available APIs and microservices
▪ Knowledge of Agile methodologies
▪ Backend development skills and knowledge of data structures
▪ Expertise writing functional Javascript and Node.js
▪ Experience with modern UI frameworks and style libraries (in addition to CSS)
▪ Comfort with DevOps, Kubernetes, and AWS compute platforms (EC2, Lambda, etc.)
▪ Understanding of Service-Oriented Architectures
▪ Working knowledge of multiple database products (NoSQL, Mongo, DynamoDB, MySQL, etc.)
