Job Summary
As a member of the Commercial Bank Strategic Planning and Go to Market Team, the Commercial Strategy Manager will report directly to the Director of Commercial Strategy and Go to Market and work closely with Business Leaders across the Commercial Bank in strategy development/strategic planning activities evaluation and execution. They will develop a deep understanding of our markets, customer needs, product functionality, industry trends, and our competitive landscape. They will deploy this knowledge to build and support strategic plans to drive business growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Help develop Commercial bank strategy, priorities and business management.
• Lead strategic initiatives to support business growth plans – develop strategy in partnership with executives (define problem, structure a framework, build recommendations, and a successful path to execution).
• Work alongside senior leaders as a strategic partner which will require navigating a highly matrixed environment.
• Collaborate with and influence functional business partners, leaders, and executive management to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business.
• Provide executive-level communications to key stakeholders on progress and recommendations via succinct presentations and storytelling.
• Drive and deliver results for high priority programs by working in project teams spanning businesses and support functions.
• Guide junior teammates through ambiguous and complex situations, while serving as a coach/advisor to them as part of their growth and development.
• Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
• Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level of work experience (preferred)

Experience Qualifications

• 5+ years in Corporate Strategy functions or Consulting Firms
• Demonstrated understanding of the Commercial Bank and its various business units, including ability to offer proactive, insightful thinking regarding strategy. (required)
• Ability to analyze internal and external data to provide intelligence and insights to Commercial Leadership (required)
• Strong analytical and business acumen with solid communication and relationship-building skills and the ability to work across the Commercial team. (required)
• Exceptional collaborator with proven ability to lead through influence and operate in a matrix organization with. (required)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; must possess demonstrated presentation skills for diverse audiences (required)
• Proven leadership experience with an ability to establish a culture while driving strategic outcomes and managing risk (required)
