The work:
The SAP Planning Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP planning solutions to support the client. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to analyze planning requirements, implement best‑practice SAP processes, and ensure accurate, efficient, and scalable planning capabilities across the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements related to planning, forecasting, and supply chain processes
- Configure, customize, and support SAP modules such as SAP PP (Production Planning), SAP APO/IBP (Integrated Business Planning), MRP, and related planning tools
- Design end‑to‑end planning solutions that align with organizational goals
- Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Support integration between planning modules and other SAP functions (MM, SD, WM, QM, FI/CO)
- Create functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, and reports
- Collaborate with business partners to improve planning accuracy and system usage
- Conduct user training, develop documentation, and support change management
- Participate in testing activities (unit, integration, UAT)
- Stay current with SAP updates, innovations, and best practices.
Here’s what you need:
- 1+ years of hands‑on experience with SAP PP, APO, IBP, or other planning modules
- Strong understanding of production planning, MRP, capacity planning, and forecasting processes
- Experience with SAP configuration, solution design, and process mapping
Nice to have:
- Experience with S/4HANA, advanced planning optimization, or cross‑functional SAP modules
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Relevant SAP certifications
Eligibility requirements:
- US Citizen (no dual citizenship)
- Must be eligible to obtain a government clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
