Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Hybrid-Cloud Infrastructure, to lead our cloud initiatives with a primary focus on Azure. This position will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud environments and will require deep expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, and security policy management. Additionally, this role will oversee business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) planning for both cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring robust backup, restore, and failover capabilities. Responsibilities will also include managing aspects of on-premises datacenter infrastructure, including Active Directory and hybrid cloud integration. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, strong technical background, and proven leadership abilities to guide a team in delivering scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cloud Strategy & Architecture:
- Develop, implement, and manage the Azure cloud strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
- Drive cloud adoption and best practices for architecture, deployment, and operational frameworks.
- Oversee the design and management of Azure services and resources, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation:
- Lead initiatives to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure Bicep.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline deployments, fostering a DevOps culture.
- Implement automated testing, deployment, and rollback strategies to ensure stable and secure production environments.
3. Security & Compliance:
- Establish and enforce Azure policies, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements to meet industry standards.
- Collaborate with the security team to enforce identity and access management policies and data protection best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of cloud environments and implement corrective actions as necessary.
4. Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR):
- Develop and implement BCDR strategies for cloud and on-premises systems, including backup, recovery, and failover processes.
- Design and test cloud-based disaster recovery plans using Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Backup, and other BCDR tools.
- Manage on-premises BCDR solutions, ensuring alignment with cloud practices to enable seamless hybrid failover and recovery.
- Coordinate regular testing of BCDR plans, analyzing results and making improvements to ensure system resilience.
5. Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead a team of cloud engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and career development support.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, promoting continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure engineers, and cybersecurity, to support business objectives.
6. On-Premises Integration & Datacenter Management:
- Oversee the integration between cloud and on-premises systems, including Active Directory, DNS, and hybrid cloud setups.
- Provide direction for on-premises data center management and related infrastructure as required, ensuring seamless connectivity and resource availability.
- Support migration strategies from on-premises to cloud where applicable, evaluating risks, and managing transitions effectively.
7. Cost Optimization & Reporting:
- Monitor and optimize cloud usage and spending, leveraging Azure Cost Management tools to drive efficiencies.
- Develop metrics and dashboards for cloud performance, usage, and spend, reporting to senior management on the health and value of the cloud environment.
