JWST 330 – Topics in the Hebrew Bible

A selected topic of current interest in the Hebrew Bible will be studied in depth. Emphasis on the contributions of Ancient Near Eastern Studies (archaeology, comparative literature, and Semitic linguistics) to understanding the text. Students may read the text in Hebrew or in translation.

January 6 – April 11, 2025: Tuesday & Thursday (10:05 – 11:25)  - LEA 721

Full contract dates: January 3 – May 10, 2025

Teaching Qualification Requirements:
 

Education: PhD in Biblical Studies/ History of Interpretation of the Tana"ch.

Experience: Experience in teaching the Hebrew Bible at a high academic level; ability to teach basic survey courses as well as focused courses on a variety of books of the Bible.
