About the role

STCM 33000-01 Advertising Copywriting and Art Direction – Professor Mark Addona 

General duties will include: 

  • Assisting students in the Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects and InDesign 
  • Holding group and/or individual office hour sessions with students 
  • Assisting with Canvas updates 
  • Assisting with demos for specific tasks in programs to assist students 
  • Performing relevant industry research for presentations as well as mockup research and creation 
  • Assisting with class critiques 

 
Job Qualifications/Requirements 

Specific areas and related requirements are as follows: 

  • Student must have taken the course before and received at least an A.  
  • Student must be available during either section 1 or section 2 of the class.  
  • Assistants will be expected to have advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects and InDesign to assist them with completing their projects. 
  • Assistants will be asked to hold group and/or individual office hour sessions weekly with students throughout the semester. 
  • Assistants will meet with the faculty member teaching the course to learn about the elements within each program that may be needed to complete the projects. 

 

Hours: 3 hours per week 

Pay Rate: $16 per hour
