Business Development Intern

Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
- Develop an understanding of the value chain for IPS leveraging insight from across the business.
- Provide an external /alternative perspective on how to best meet customer needs, develop strong intercompany relationship and to drive long-term partnership at specific parts of the value chain.
- Develop an ongoing intelligence process including methodology in gathering, storage and organization and synthesis and templating as needed.
- Assess and synthesize downstream market data to drive value with immediate customer and others in the value chain.
- Deliver a final project presentation to our Leadership Team on future recommendations and a high-level action plan.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
- Current pursuit of a full-time graduate degree in Business Administration, or related field
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Self-starter with ability to reach out proactively to appropriate resources internally and externally to come up with right solution and approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity, and a results-oriented mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledge of SalesForce is a plus.
- Strong motivation and work ethic and the ability to work independently, ability to balance multiple projects and competing deadlines
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time commitment, Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8 am – 5 pm Eastern Time
- Location: Wayne, PA; Hybrid with ability to meet minimum three times in Northeast or Midwest office of TekniPlex
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and infrequently lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Duties will be primarily based in normal office environment. Most of the job will be performed in a normal office environment with little or no exposure to adverse working conditions. An infrequent amount of time may be required on the production floor interfacing with key stakeholders to identify/resolve issues and/or develop solutions. Travel may include tours, observations and/or troubleshooting in the company’s and/or customer’s production environments.
