Job Description
As a Junior Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our bespoke manufacturing process. This role combines technical expertise with practical application, requiring proficiency in AutoCAD and a keen eye for detail. You’ll create detailed estimates, proposals, and production plans for custom projects, translating client visions into reality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain diverse experience in a growing business, perfect for those looking to apply their engineering knowledge in a hands-on environment. You’ll play a crucial role in streamlining our production process and ensuring the high quality of our custom-made products.
Responsibilities
- Craft detailed estimates and proposals for custom timber fencing and gate projects
- Produce comprehensive work orders and cut lists for factory production
- Utilize AutoCAD to create and modify technical drawings for custom designs
- Analyze and adjust pricing for bespoke projects, ensuring accuracy and profitability
- Assist in production scheduling and inventory management to optimize workflow
- Contribute to job costing, procurement analysis, and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production supervisors, to ensure smooth project execution
- Potential to expand role into project management and operational analysis as the company grows
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Technical or civil background,
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking
- English communication skills for internal collaboration
- Entry-level candidates or recent graduates with relevant education considered
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and process improvement
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
