Life Coach Supervisor

Mid Shift - 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Salary: $22-$24 per hour

At Embark, our Life Coach Supervisors are there at the residence to assist with training and support of our life coaches, as well as, guiding and mentoring students during difficult moments. The care and focus that is provided helps the students and their families move toward a healthy and healing home environment by assisting with communication methods and social skills.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manages team members on shift
  • Delegate responsibilities to team members
  • Ongoing supervision with team members
  • Provide safe verbal de-escalation or physical intervention techniques with upset teens as they arise
  • Serve as a positive role model and enforce a supportive atmosphere
  • Communicate important observations and updates to the Program Director
  • At end of shift, document client progress notes daily

Qualifications

All applicants must meet at least one of the following:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree; OR 60 credits earned plus 3+ years' experience working with children or teens
  • Previously employed as a staff or volunteer at a group home or short term term residential therapeutic center
  • Relevant experience as determined by the department to meet any of the above

 

What do you bring to this position?

  • Mininum of 3-5 years of experience working in the mental health field or residential treatment center
  • 21+ years of age or older.
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Able to pass criminal investigation background check.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build healthy relationships.
  • Ability to set and teach positive values
  • Ability to perform CPR and First-Aid.
  • Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative student
  • Skill in de-escalating agitated students.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and adjust to plans accordingly.
  • Experience leading a team
