The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.
Holman is currently looking for an experienced operations executive with 15+ years of leadership in managing business unit portfolios and building Commercial Business Operations P&L structures. Proven ability to drive profitability, efficiency, and strategic alignment while coaching leaders and leading cross-functional initiatives. Skilled in financial management, KPI development, and continuous improvement. Collaborative and results-driven, with strong business strategy expertise and a background in senior-level partnership.
Responsibilities:
- Design and establish Commercial Business Operations P&L vertical, including systems and processes to manage a portfolio of business units.
- Serve as single point of contact for multiple business units for both internal and external stakeholders
- Provide strategic coaching and guidance to the P&L Leaders across the portfolio
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the operational success of all business units, focusing on profitability, efficiency, and growth.
- Collaborate with the COO and other senior leaders to define long-term objectives and align divisional operations with the company’s overarching goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within each business unit, ensuring all maintain high standards of operational excellence.
- Oversee the day-to-day operational activities of each business unit, ensuring smooth coordination and alignment of resources and processes.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for each business unit and monitor progress to ensure performance objectives are met.
- Develop and manage budgets for each business unit, ensuring that operations remain within financial constraints while achieving targeted goals.
- Monitor financial performance of the divisions, identifying and mitigating any financial risks.
- Drive cost-effective solutions while maintaining high levels of service and product quality across business units
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends to drive growth and work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to implement initiatives aimed at increasing market share, customer satisfaction, and revenue across divisions.
- Foster strong collaboration and communication between business units to share best practices, align processes, and identify synergies.
- Support the creation of cross-functional teams that can tackle large, organization-wide initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between business divisions and corporate leadership, ensuring that strategic goals are communicated and understood at all levels.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required, Master’s preferred
- Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
Relevant Work Experience:
- 15+ years’ experience at a management level; multiple levels of reporting relationships strongly preferred.
- Has extensive knowledge and experience within own function and general knowledge of areas, departments and/or function(s) within and across other disciplines.
