£31,611 - £33,275 per year

 

35 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for an Information Officer to join our Data Protection team which sits within our wider Legal and Governance service, based in Worcester. The team of 4 is responsible for providing high quality advice, support and guidance on data protection and information regulations and legislation across Sanctuary.

 

The role of Information Officer will include:

• Supporting to the company on day-to-day data protection issues including establishing, maintaining and refreshing compliance policies and procedures, guidance, documentation, toolkits, training and undertaking data protection audits
• Providing high quality advice, support and guidance on data protection and information regulations and legislation across the company, covering all aspects of data protection law and information law
• Providing advice to Sanctuary employees on the rights of data subjects, reviewing and advising on data processing agreements and data sharing arrangements, data transfer agreements, standard contractual clauses, technical and organisational measures and privacy notices
• Coordinating and supporting the data protection champion network across the Group

 

Skills and experiences:

• Recent experience undertaking a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of data protection, particularly GDPR with attention to detail
• Some experience of Data Protection practices in a medium to large organisation
• Some experience of reviewing policies and procedures
• Good communication skills
• Proficient user of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
