Product Development – Ford Blue Finance Analyst

As a Product Development Finance analyst, you will have the opportunity to deliver on Ford’s Cost and Quality initiatives for future model vehicle programs. This position partners with our Product Development team (Cost Estimating, Engineering, Purchasing, Powertrain) to source parts and address changes in future model vehicles. You will be relied upon to provide financial guidance, calculate business cases, and maintain accurate reporting for both material cost and investment on future programs. You will be a trusted business partner and empowered as the Controller for your specific commodities to support the vehicle program.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the vehicle target setting process for your commodities (Cost Workshops)
- Partner with the internal Business Partners (Cost Estimating, Engineering, Purchasing, Powertrain) to source commodities at or better than target.
- Calculate business cases and perform scenario analysis (e.g., IRR) weighing Ford’s cost of debt vs. projected return.
- Ensure Program Finances are accurate and report latest material cost, investment, and risks & opportunities for pre-<PA> programs.
- Present milestone financial status to matched pairs and Finance management.
You'll have…
- Finance 1-5 yr. experience with strong analytical skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, use of AI tools / Power BI to create process efficiencies.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including being comfortable presenting to Operating Management.
- Detail oriented self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to prioritize assignments, multi-task in fast paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build relationships with operating partners.

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8 .
