The H80 General Medicine/Telemetry Unit sees a very diverse population of people managing various medical diagnoses, substance withdrawal or home displacement. This diversity is comparable to that of the Emergency Department, so caregivers develop a skillset they can utilize almost anywhere within the Cleveland Clinic system.
As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.
A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend| various shifts.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
One year of current Acute Care RN experience OR military RN experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
