The Financial Support Office (FSO) National Accounting Customer Support (NACS) team is looking for a detail-oriented, highly motivated, and energetic analyst to join our team. In this position, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the timely processing of accurate data for accounting operations and depository institutions, and supporting the organization through relevant business operations, business processes, and analytical and technology focused assignments, in a cross-district environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic to advanced analytical support for Financial Institutions and the Federal Reserve or other federal agency staff and management in resolving routine customer, operational, and business issues. Escalate difficult and complex questions or problems to other analysts or management.
  • Collect, prepare, process, analyze, research and balance data processed into the appropriate accounting systems.
  • Participate in and perform basic to advanced analytical tasks for projects in support of the Federal Reserve or other federal agency initiatives. Projects often involve coordination and communication with other Federal Reserve business lines or other federal agency management and staff.
  • Contribute to daily operational work, project teams, and work groups. Lead or assist in completing or organizing special assignments, studies, and analyses.
  • Lead or assist in the analysis and review of business functions and operational process improvements and/or enhancements.
  • Lead or assist testing, training, and implementation efforts.
  • May perform contingency testing in support of FRS District essential accounting functions.
  • Lead and/or assist in preparing and/or revising communications, including proposals, reports, and presentations. Lead or assist in developing and revising procedures, defining processes, and delivery of training to external and internal users.
  • Monitor and verify compliance with applicable new and existing customer accounting and billing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Lead and/or assist with monitoring statuses, identifying trends, and preparing reports on quality measures, performance metrics, or other department goals and objectives.
  • Lead and/or assist in managing, coordinating, or conducting activities related to identifying and managing department risks, such as COSO control documentation and completion of security assurance risk management process.
  • Lead and/or assist in department training function identifying training needs, preparing documentation, delivering training, collaborating with subject matter experts to deliver accurate and complete training.
  • Support other FSO areas as needed.
  • Committed to providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers supported by the NACS function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of professional experience is desired for level I (Three years of experience required for level II; five years required for level III).
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers supported by the NACS function.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in the use of confidential or sensitive information pertaining to external and internal customers and operations.
  • Demonstrated analytic, problem solving and decision-making skills, along with attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a business operations or financial environment is preferred. Project management skills and or User Acceptance Testing experience are also preferred.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures and AS5/COSO controls and procedures is desired.
  • Experience in MS Excel, and Word. Experience generating reports and queries from databases and use of SharePoint is preferred.
  • Salary range for level I: $52,200-65,210-78,300
  • Salary range for level II: $64,100-80,159-96,200
  • Salary range for level III: $78,300-97,830-117,400
  • Salary offer will be based on qualifications/experience of the candidate, alignment with market data, the needs of the position, our total compensation package, and internal equity.
