The Food & Beverage Manager (F&B Manager) is the primary onsite operational leader for all food and beverage businesses within Nordstrom New York City Flagship and Men’s Store. Reporting to the Area Manager – Restaurants & Specialty Coffee, this role is accountable for daily execution, operational consistency, and guest experience across restaurants, bars, specialty coffee, and catering/events.
This leader maintains a strong on‑site presence, providing hands‑on support, real‑time coaching, and problem solving for Restaurant General Managers, Specialty Coffee Managers, and the Restaurant Inventory Control Team. While General Managers retain full responsibility for the day‑to‑day performance of their individual units, the Food & Beverage Manager provides portfolio‑level oversight, including on‑site coordination and operational support for food and beverage events and the Events Specialist, ensuring execution aligns with daily operations. Through this model, operational standards are consistently executed and business priorities are translated into clear daily operating behaviors across all supported concepts.
Partnering closely with Store Managers and in‑store leaders, this role ensures food and beverage operations are fully integrated into the rhythm of the building, including staffing, peak‑period execution, activations, and events. This leader also models Nordstrom Values and fosters a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement in a fast- paced, multi-unit environment, while building the skills and rigor required to becoming a future Area Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads daily food & beverage operations across restaurants, bars, specialty coffee, and events within the NYC Flagship and Men’s Store, ensuring food-safe, pest-free, compliant, and operationally sound environments through consistent onsite oversight.
- Maintains strong floor presence, regularly visiting locations during peak business hours to observe execution, address issues in real time, and reinforce Nordstrom service and operational standards.
- Models Nordstrom Values through visible leadership behaviors, decision-making, and daily interactions with teams and store partners.
- Develops and supports Restaurant and Specialty Coffee leadership by providing clear expectations, timely coaching, and frequent performance conversations; reinforces accountability through follow up and hands-on support.
- Owns portfolio‑level on‑site business performance for restaurant concepts within the NYC Flagship and Men’s Store, including P&L, KPI trends, labor, and cost controls, partnering with General Managers—who retain accountability for their individual units—to drive executable action plans.
- Serves as the primary connector to Store Leadership, ensuring Store Managers are informed and aligned on food and beverage operations, staffing plans, activations, and event execution.
- In additon to their General Managers, partners closely with HR, Marketing, Events, Visual, Construction, and Facilities to address operational needs, support people initiatives, and resolve employee relations matters in partnership with HRBPs.
- Oversees Restaurant’s Inventory Control operations, ensuring accurate ordering, receiving, storage, and cost management practices are consistently followed on site.
- Provides on‑site leadership and operational coordination for the Event Specialist, ensuring events are properly staffed, supported, and executed in alignment with daily business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Progressive leadership experience in food & beverage or hospitality operations
- Strong coaching and people development capability
- Experience partnering with HR on employee relations issues
- Strong financial acumen and KPI analysis skills
- 5+ years of leadership experience in complex F&B environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterpri
