Job Title:  BYU Athletics Assistant Director of Football Video and Technology

Start date of this position:  As Soon as Possible

Job Summary

The BYU Athletics Assistant Director of Football Video and Technology will help oversee video and technology needs for the football team and will help coordinate instant replay with the athletic department and conference.

    Duties/Expectations: 

    1) Manage Football Video and Technology

    • Manage Football Practice Video
    • Technology and Video Oversight for Away Games
    • Assist the Video Director in managing a team of students to ensure the football team’s needs are met
    • Help oversee video exchange to opposing teams and NFL teams
    • Implement different digital products and services available to coaches for more efficient game planning for opponent-scout and self-scout
    • Coordinate the setup and use of gameday in-game video tablets with Video Graduate Assistant student manager

    2) Manage Athletic Video Replay Technology

    • Advise on replay technology needs for athletic facilities and venues

    3) Oversee Broadcast Video Archive for all BYU NCAA sponsored sports

    • Download a copy of every athletic game broadcast or stream from applicable exchange websites
    • Upload a copy of every game broadcast or stream to Athletic Broadcast Archive on Box
    • Record any game not available for download on exchange website

    4) Other Duties as Assigned by the Director of Football Video and Technology

    What Qualifies You to Apply?

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 2 years of collegiate sports video experience
    • Willingness to uphold and live by the university's Honor Code
    • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the application process.

    Preferred

    • Three or more years of collegiate sports video experience
