As Supv Production Accounting, you will be leading a team coordinating a variety of high complexity assignments involving advanced technical knowledge of accounting principles and production/revenue practices in the industry. You will provide guidance including planning, reviewing and evaluating accounting projects.  You will provide leadership on financial matters, both within and outside the production/revenue area, while facilitating long range financial studies

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Oversees a team to review daily/monthly allocations and ensures accuracy in volume reporting
  • Leads a team to review reconciliations of run tickets, meter readings, and purchaser statements
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal reporting requirements
  • Acts as the primary liaison between field operations and accounting
  • Provides training and mentorship to junior accountants
  • Participates in acquisition/divestiture setup and integration tasks
  • Handles escalated discrepancies and complex allocation issues
  • Other duties as assigned 

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance; a minimum of six (6) years of multifaceted accounting experience
  • Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS), or equivalent industry certifications

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Deep understanding of accounting procedures and policies pertaining to the Upstream industry
  • Preferred: Experience leading or supervising a team
