About the Team

Are you passionate about APIs and Platforms? Are you interested in building the future framework to support Workday's REST, SOAP, and GraphQL offerings? We’re responsible for enabling developers and partners to more easily build and use Workday APIs. We value innovation, teamwork, and ownership. About the Role

​Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs distributed software programs for enhancements and new products across multiple disciplines and multiple platforms. Capable of designing and implementing software able to manage the tradeoffs between data consistency, availability, partition tolerance.

Develop, design and deploy software and tools in support of a data processing system, including highly concurrent transaction processing, distributed memory management, communication protocols, and efficient distributed data algorithms.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience

• 5+ years of distributed systems engineering experience applying one or more of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Golang

Other Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with source control, IDE, unit testing, debugging, profiling, JIRA, TeamCity, etc.

• Good team interaction with good oral and written communication skills

• Familiarity with API infrastructure (XML/Schema, WSDL, SOAP, REST, XSLT, SAX, etc.)

• Hands-on experience writing automation and test platforms

• Experience with GraphQL and REST desirable

• Experience with designing and building fault-tolerance and resilience within distributed systems

• Software localization and translation infrastructure experience desirable

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or a related field
