Job Summary: Hempel is developing and expanding its global Distribution partnership network. The Regional Distribution Manager is accountable for executing Hempel’s Distribution Program across Marine and Energy & Infrastructure (E&I) in the Americas, ensuring strong distributor performance, full compliance with global standards, and measurable commercial impact.
The role acts as the link between global distribution strategy and regional execution, working closely with regional sales leadership and dedicated distribution representatives embedded in local sales teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
Execute the Global Distribution strategy in the Americas across Marine and E&I
Implement and enforce global distribution standards, governance, and compliance requirements
Optimize the regional distributor landscape, including segmentation, development, and selective changes
Ensure effective alignment between distribution and direct sales, working closely with Sales Managers and Distribution Representatives
Lead regional rollout and adoption of global tools, processes, and performance management frameworks
Act as the regional point of contact for distribution, providing structured market insights to Global Distribution Excellence
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to drive distribution‑led revenue growth and improve gross margin performance
Strong track record of ensuring distributor compliance with contracts, governance standards, and policies
Proven adoption and consistent use of global distribution tools, systems, and standardized processes
Experience planning and executing the annual strategic cycle (“annual wheel”) for key distributors
Skilled in assessing and improving distributor network quality, including segmentation fit, capability coverage, and risk profile
Effective at strengthening sales–distribution collaboration to improve execution and performance
Contributes to regional go‑to‑market impact through enhanced distribution coverage, market penetration, and disciplined execution
