Sr. Regulatory Specialist (Global Chemical Compliance)

Videojet is the leader (and we do mean #1!) in the development and manufacture of coding & marking inks, offering fluids for CIJ, TIJ, LCM, DOD, and graphics technologies.

🌎 This role is remote in the USA in the Eastern, Central or Mountain time zone. Will travel at least quarterly to our Chicago office. 🌎

You’ll report to the Staff Regulatory Specialist and play a pivotal role in ensuring our chemical portfolio meets evolving global regulations while supporting innovation and sustainability.  This is a small team, so everyone pitches in with all levels of tasks and responsibilities.  One moment you might be authoring an SDS and the next you are interpreting a new regulation and developing a strategy to implement it at Videojet.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead Global Compliance Initiatives: Monitor and interpret global chemical regulations, develop strategic roadmaps, and implement sustainable compliance systems.

• Drive Regulatory Communication: Translate complex regulatory changes into actionable insights for cross-functional teams.

• Own SDS and Label Management: Create and maintain Safety Data Sheets, labels, and regulatory systems.

• Innovate Workflows: Design and optimize regulatory processes to support new product development and ongoing product stewardship.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with R&D, product development, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory excellence from concept to commercialization.

What You Bring:

• 🧪 Proven experience in global chemical compliance. 

• 📈 Strategic acumen.  You are effective at communicating and influencing.  You will interpret regulations and implement changes, work with cross-functional teams, advocate for a regulatory position, and balance business goals and compliance. 

Other stand-out qualifications:

• A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (EHS, Product Stewardship)

• Global compliance certifications

• Experience in SDS authoring/label creation, and regulatory systems

• Technical fluency in tools like Sphera Intelligent Authoring, Teklynx CodeSoft, SQL, Oracle BI, and Microsoft Office 365
