Job Summary

The Director, Digital Marketing sits within the Revenue Marketing team reporting to the VP, Revenue Marketing. You will be responsible for driving the digital marketing strategy to engage stakeholders and drive customer demand and helping build the inbound marketing engine for Darktrace. You’ll be responsible for identifying and scaling cost-effective acquisition campaigns across social, search and advertising. You will contribute to the overarching Marketing plan, using analytics to inform decisions and drive execution of campaigns against company goals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Create and execute the Darktrace digital marketing strategy including SEO, paid advertising, and social strategy.
  • Own and lead the management and consistent optimization of strategic digital roadmap to improve user experience and drive business through the funnel.
  • Generate pipeline. Own the delivery of our inbound pipeline numbers and align with sales and customer success leaders to help hit our growth targets. 
  • Build a demand generation engine. Work with internal and external partners to create sustaining, productive, iterative programs across demand generation channels: primarily paid marketing, social, SEO, conversion rate optimization, and, eventually, ABM.
  • Rigorously audit the full funnel, provide data-driven insights, and make adjustments swiftly to drive the business.Work with internal web team and marketing agency vendors to help guide execution of web updates in support of digital marketing strategyCollaborate with leadership, stakeholders, agency partners and field marketing to create and uphold KPIs, measure and report progress as needed and continually optimize strategy based on resultsLead and collaborate with content creators, designers, and developers to create compelling digital assets and experiences that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Inspire and build a strong team by coaching and developing existing team members; bring strong vision and leadership to evolve the function by building new programs and developing required skills.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience working in a B2B marketing team
  • Experience marketing to a technical B2B buyer 
  • Strong technical skills and CRM experience
  • Proficiency working with content management systems 
  • Comfortable working with global stakeholders and third parties to drive results 
  • Experience with marketing technology
  • Knowledge of current marketing trends
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Experience in content strategy and development, including global websites, content, and search engine optimization
  • Working knowledge of website best practices, content management systems and analytics tools 
  • Experience managing or working closely with the SDR function to improve conversion rates 
  • Proven track record of setting, exceeding, tracking, measuring, and communicating the progress of meaningful objectives and goals
  • Outstanding flexibility, adaptability, and sense of accountability
  • Integrated marketing experience, including media, sponsorships, and event marketing
