Role Description: Assistant Director, Brand Marketing and Communications (Strategic Operations & Enablement – Communications)


Position Summary: The Assistant Director on the Strategic Operations & Enablement (SO&E) team plays a crucial role in providing the Communications team within our US BMC organization with essential tools, information and processes to maximize their potential. In this role, you’ll work with various stakeholders across US BMC, acting as a subject matter expert for team tools, channels and resources. You’ll oversee key projects and initiatives related to team enablement, communication development and management of team tools and processes. This role requires a person who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment and is adept at proactively managing tasks and embracing new and dynamic projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Act as the primary liaison for the Chief Communications Officer (CCO), facilitating communication and collaboration across BMC and other functions, relying on the CCO and Director of Integrated Strategy and Operations for direction and priority setting.
  • Maintain strong connections with Brand and Marketing counterparts, Global and Americas BMC teams to stay informed about the latest initiatives and developments.
  • Organize and manage meetings, briefings, and events for the CCO, ensuring that agendas are set, materials are prepared, and follow-up actions are tracked.
  • Facilitate discussions and ensure that key outcomes are documented and communicated to relevant parties.

 

Strategy Execution and Process Optimization:

  • Work across the broader Strategic Operations & Enablement (SO&E) team to drive a coordinated BMC planning strategy.
  • Define and prioritize a project portfolio consistent with Communications strategic goals, managing leadership initiatives and/or special project workstreams as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Integrated Strategy & Operations to identify areas for process improvement; Monitor and track progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement solutions to keep initiatives on track.
  • Lead various enablement initiatives including learning and development, onboarding, and change management initiatives for the US Communications team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

 

Communication, Channel & Asset Management:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all US Communication tools, protocols and processes.
  • Manage relevant Communications channels, lists and materials to ensure effective communications, tracking and information sharing.
  • Oversee BMC team communications including new joiner announcements, cross-functional communications, governance, and best practice messaging.
  • Partner with Brand and Marketing counterparts to drive and manage BMC all-hands webcasts, ensuring clear and impactful messaging.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in internal and external communications, with a strong understanding of organizational dynamics.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
  What we offer   We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $96,300 to $180,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115,600 to $204,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
