JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

A research assistant position is open at the Penn State University Micrometeorology Laboratory. The position involves analyses of historical meteorological and particle data sets to understand the changes in the composition of aerosols in the eastern region of the United States. Numerical models will be used and modified to study how aerosol amounts and chemical composition can influence cloud formation during the summertime. In addition, some web page development needs to be done.

The available position requires up to 20 hours of work per week. A background and interest in data analysis, computer programming, statistics, and web page development are highly desirable. Some experience in computer programming using Python and Fortran will be an asset. Knowledge of Meteorology may be necessary as well. Start date is any time after 1 March 2024.
