Technical Trades Supervisor - Hamptonville Metals/Plant 2

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the safety of technical trades employees along with direct supervising, directing work assignments and review of work performance of Tool & Die and Maintenance personnel across three shifts in a metal stamping environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety policies are followed throughout the facility
• Assign employees to specifical tasks
• Ensure PM’s completed on machinery and equipment
• Ensure PM’s completed on Dies
• Respond to production related issues to support product output
• Communicate daily with Production counterparts to identify critical needs
• Author and distribute concise lineups to other shifts
• Must be able to work extended hours when required
• All other duties as assigned

Required Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities for Consideration as a Candidate:

• Engineering or Technical Degree strongly preferred
• Associates degree and/or equivalent experience required
• Experience in a technical supervision role required
• Metal Stamping Die knowledge including press feeder systems strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Mechanical Stamping Press Operation strongly preferred
• Mechanical aptitude
• Mathematical aptitude
• Computer experience (Excel / Word / PowerPoint)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Computer proficiency (above average) required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
