The Ministry Project Coordinator shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
The position works as part of International Student Ministry (ISM) and will coordinate and manage strategic projects and initiatives. This position works closely with FSC Marcom team members on video, graphic design, website, social media, and content creation projects.
DIRECT MINISTRY ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES – 90%
- Coordinate media and marketing projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate with Social Media Manager on ISM social media strategy to produce written and visual content for ISM Instagram account.
- Coordinate with MarCom to produce and update print marketing materials. Write cover, edit existing content, and manage production process with designers, copywriters, and Marketing Manager.
- Manage the creation of resource pages on the ISM website in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including field staff, Marcom, and the ISM Executive Team.
- Manage all changes to the ISM website.
- Create digital learning courses in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including field staff, MarCom, and the ISM Executive Team.
- Coordinate the production of the Quarterly ISM Volunteer Newsletter: read ISM staff newsletter, contact staff with their Volunteer/Everyday Disciplemakers, interview Everyday Disciplemakers, brainstorm and implement resource ideas, use Mailchimp to send letters, and invite new staff to join the newsletter.
- Assist ISM Executive Team as needed with scheduling, communication, and technology.
Additional Responsibilities and Personal Development – 10%
- Assist in special projects when available and approved by supervisor.
- Pursue intimacy with Jesus in all things for the glory of God.
- Submit annual goals and objectives to supervisor along with an annual report.
- Work with supervisor to write a personal development plan.
- Seek and implement personal development to continue education within field by attending conferences, training, seminars, etc. related to creative media and trends.
- Participate in the annual Plan and Progress Review (PPR) process with direct supervisor.
- Submit expense report as needed due the 15th of each month.
- Other job-related projects as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators. Knowledge of Navigator missions, ministries, and networks preferred.
Experience: 1 year of project coordination experience required. Two years of experience in marketing and communication preferred.
Technical Knowledge & Skills: Microsoft Office proficiency. Basecamp or other project management tools proficiency.
Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Compensation Range: $18.70-26.00/hour
