Overview:

The Warfighter Training Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) Deputy Maintenance Manager develops enterprise-wide maintenance processes, tools, data, and standards to maintain over 250,000 US Army training devices at approximately 400 locations worldwide. Maintenance staff will be comprised of employees from V2X and approximately 15 subcontractors.  Position may require as much as 50% travel. 

 

Job Description: 

*Responsible for establishing process, standards, tools to the achieve the following objectives of the Maintenance Program and Organization:

*Meet operational availability requirements for all Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS)

*Track/analyze parts consumption and maintenance trends

*Develops and implements strategies for managing diminishing manufacturing sources, material shortages, and obsolescence.

*Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), Corrective Maintenance (CM) and calibration actions for TADSS and Government Furnished Property (GFP)

*Quality

    • Meet all contractual, programmatic and device specific quality requirements and objectives
    • Ensure all maintenance actions are recorded timely and accurately within the MIS
    • Implement a Quality Review Program to measure performance and identify areas of improvement.

 

*Provide Life Cycle Contractor Support (LCCS) support to fielding USG Project Managers (PMs)

*Install and relocate TADSS for support of emerging or variable training requirements (includes all logistics tasks to disassemble, transport, reassemble, technical support, and training);

*Provide Post Production Software Support (PPSS)/Post-Deployment Software Support (PDSS) (in coordination with Engineering and Product Line (PdL) Integrator IPT).

*Perform Interim Contractor Support (ICS) maintenance for newly fielded TADSS (includes technical support, install Government-furnished upgrades, and update technical documents)

*Provides support to configuration Management Team to manage and maintain the Government-provided configuration baselines (e.g., hardware, software, and firmware) and processing configuration changes.

*Install modifications and technology refreshment of TADSS components.

*Monitors and evaluates the usage and maintenance patterns of parts for strategic analysis.

*Implements and oversees a risk management strategy, including maintaining records of potential risks. Updates and maintains government-supplied technical documents, data, and manuals.

*Update, maintain, and deliver training on TADSS, covering operation, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

 

Education: 

(10+BA/BS or 5+MA/MS) or (14+AA/No Degree)

One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required

 

Required Experience: 

*A minimum of five years of experience managing an electronics maintenance-related organization with multiple performance locations, including TADSS maintenance, logistics, Information System Tool Suite (ISTS), staffing, policies, and procedures for large U.S. military and/or other Government agency programs.

*Experience as a Supervisor in maintenance related organization

*Experience with managing subsystem repair and maintenance requirements

*Experience with capturing and analyzing enterprise level maintenance data to support decisions that drive efficiencies

 

Skills & Technology used:

* Experience with Maximo, SAP, and MS Tool Suite to include strong Excel Capabilities.

*Excellent communications and Management skills

*Ability to effectively brief Senior Leadership and Customers 

*Ability to create and document process flow using industry standards

*Must be a U.S. Citizen

*Eligible to gain and maintain a CAC
